The Wrightwood Guest
Ranch is yours to enjoy in all seasons!
Nestled between the ski slopes of the San Gabriel
Mountains and the hiking trails of the Angeles National
Forest, California's Wrightwood Guest Ranch encompasses over 300 acres
that were originally owned by Sumner, Kate and Buford Wright - who also founded the town of Wrightwood -
since 1895. Cattle, horses, mules, apples and logging were all part of the Ranch's not too distant past.
In 2001, Judy and Richard Hallett purchased the Ranch to protect the beautiful wilderness environment.
With their interest in crafts, hiking and horses, this friendly couple started creating the Wrightwood
Guest Ranch to afford guests the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature.
While Wrightwood Guest Ranch is only 90 miles from just about anywhere in Southern
California, we are truly a world away!
Ranch elevations begin at the 6,100 foot level and
ascend to more than 7,300 feet at the highest point. Thus, the air is clear and clean while the views from
the private hiking trails are unsurpassed! Literally thousands of large mature trees such as oak, pine,
cedar and aspen are an integral part of the property while bears, mountain lions, bobcats and deer add
lively motion to this picture-perfect landscape.
Enjoy crystal clear blue skies, lush mountain meadows, private forest trails,
year-round activities and luxurious accommodations and amenities for your one-of-a-kind camping experience! We
pride ourselves in offering space for groups – whether a quilting weekend, scrapbooking party, church retreat
or family reunion – and events like weddings, group picnics and family snowshoeing, too! Movies will continue
to be made on the Ranch as well as painting, photography, crafts and other assorted outdoor
